Family Pledge

 

We believe in the just cause. We support and stand by our people and siblings in Palestine, for they are doing everything in their power and sacrificing what is most precious to them in order to defend our blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore, it is our duty to support and join them as a way of answering the call in the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Tell us about (visiting) Baytul Maqdis. He said: "Go there and pray in it" – the country was at war at the time– “If you cannot go there and pray in it, send some oil to be used in its lamps).

 

Family Pledge:

 

It is an online pledge signed by the family as a vow and commitment to support and donate to our people in Palestine.

 

Aspects of the Project:

 

Awareness and Educational Aspect:

 

The project provides a family bag that contains a series of books that raise awareness on the Palestinian cause, in addition to a collection of children’s stories that talk about the Palestinian cause in an exciting way.

 

Financial Support Aspect:

 

Family Pledge: An online pledge document that families sign on the website, vowing to continue aiding and supporting the Palestinian cause by deducting a portion of their expenses in solidarity with the people of Palestine and in support of their steadfastness. The size of the deduction is estimated at $10 per contribution for a period of 12 months. Families are allowed to donate in the proportion that suits them, provided that the minimum is $10.

• All the free people and supporters of the Palestinian cause.

 

Beneficiaries (Areas of Support)

 

The proceeds are entirely allocated by the Family Pledge to the poor women-led families in Palestine.

• UK-based Al-Khair Foundation

 

Goals:

 

1. Raising awareness to revive the Palestinian cause in every home in the world and keep it present there.
2. Supporting and strengthening the steadfastness of Palestinian women in their homes.
3. Connecting the family ideologically and emotionally to Al-Quds and the blessed Aqsa.
4. Mobilizing agencies and institutions in the Ummah to act and adopt the Family Pledge in their countries.

 

Means:

 

1. Awareness campaigns about the Palestinian cause.
2. Periodically publishing information about the economic situation, the social state and living conditions in Palestine as well as in refugee camps.
3. Family Awareness Bags.
4. Sharing the Family Pledge across social media on a much broader scope.
