Secretary-General of the Coalition Concludes Visit to Indonesia
The Secretary General of the Global Women’s Coalition for Quds and Palestine concluded her visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 26, 2020.
On January 24, 25, and 26, 2020, the delegation of the Malaysian Women’s Coalition for Quds and Palestine, headed by Dr. Fawzia Hassan, Secretary-General of the Global Women’s Coalition, visited the city of Jakarta. The aim was to introduce the Women’s Coalition and work on mobilizing and coordinating the sixth Women’s Coalition Conference, which will be held in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of July 2020. Every member of the Malaysian Women’s Coalition participated in the visit:
- Ms. Mas Junaid, Conference Director.
- Ms. Farwaina Farouk, Chair of the Conference’s Information Committee.
- Ms. Siti Rosetta, an Official for the Care Committee at the conference
Dr. Fawzia has made several visits to a number of Indonesian institutions, the most important of which was a visit to the headquarters of the Adara Foundation. She met with Ms. Nour Jannah, President of the Adara Foundation, and a member of the General Assembly of the Women’s Coalition.
The visit concluded with many fruitful outcomes for the Palestinian cause and the sixth Women’s Coalition Conference, the most important of which were:
- An Agreement to form a Qatari coalition in Indonesia.
- An agreement on mobilizing for the sixth Global Women’s Coalition Conference and have 100 people attend.
- Requesting that institutions support the conference with some products.
