Pioneers for Al-Quds and Palestine Forum Held in East Africa
The Global Women’s Coalition for Quds and Palestine and the Global Pioneers Association held the Pioneers for Al-Quds and Palestine Forum in East Africa, in the city of Nairobi, Kenya. It was held from July 3 to July 7, 2021 and had the following goals:
- Establishing pro-Palestinian work in East Africa.
- Getting to know the pro-Palestinian work in every participating country, its formation, and the challenges surrounding it.
- Exchanging experiences between participating countries.
- Adopting a group of central projects in East Africa, and demonstrating East Africa’s plan.
- Spreading awareness and knowledge on the nature of the conflict and the strategic vision to liberate Palestine.
The activities of the second day began on Saturday, July 3. A group of male and female pioneers working for Al-Quds and Palestine that represent 9 countries in the East African region (Djibouti, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Cameroon, and Rwanda) attended.

- Omaima Tijani, President of the GWCQP.
- Ms. Halima Abdul-Dayim, Secretary-General Of the East African Women’s Coalition.
The activities of the first day began with an introduction to the Global Coalition, the GWCQP, and prospects for pro-Palestine work.
Then, a lecture, An Introduction to the Palestinian Cause, was given. The activities of the first day concluded with a workshop (Simplifying the Understanding of Planning)
The activities of the forum’s second day began on Sunday, July 4, with a workshop (The Experience of Pro-Palestinian Work in Other Countries, The Political Situation, Conditions and Challenges, the Reality of Pro-Palestinian Work, and What Are the Future Prospects for Pro-Palestinian Work in Each Country?). Afterwards, the central programs and projects were presented, followed by a workshop (Presenting the Plans for Each Country, The Structure, National Action Plan, Pro-Palestinian Work Team). The second day’s activities concluded with a lecture on liberalization strategies.
The activities of the third day began on Monday, July 5, with the completion of a workshop (The Experience of Pro-Palestinian Work in Other Countries, The Political Situation, Conditions and Challenges, the Reality of Pro-Palestinian Work, and What Are the Future Prospects for Pro-Palestinian Work in Each Country?) before moving on to the East African Women’s Coalition (Structure and Comprehensive Plan), followed by a workshop (Forming the General Secretariat for the Region, Coordination of Regional Pro-Palestinian Work in East Africa). The activities of the third day conclude with the conclusion of the forum and recommendations.
