Specialized Leadership Training Program for Al-Quds and Palestine (Basma)

We believe that the Palestinian cause is a humanitarian cause that brings together all the honest people of the world. We also believe that the path to victory and liberation is achieved through carefully done work that requires preparing a generation that is trained in and qualified for leadership. This program aims to discover young women's capabilities and refine them with leadership skills and in-depth knowledge on Al-Quds so that they would be able to lead the work for Al-Quds and Palestine in their countries. Not to mention, establishing projects that will leave a clear mark (Basma) on the Ummah in general and on Palestine in particular.
 

  • Vision: To have young women leaders who are capable of leading and bearing the responsibility of working for Palestine and supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque in their countries.
  • Mission: To train young women leaders by developing their capabilities and leadership skills as well as their knowledge in the field of work for Al-Quds and Palestine. Plus, enabling them to have a positive impact in their countries in line with the vision the GWCQP have for their work.

Program Objectives:

  1. Raising awareness on the Palestinian cause, the importance of working for it, and the positive role women have in supporting it.
  2. Providing leadership training on the competencies and skills that enable participants to take the lead in working for Palestine in their countries.
  3. Adopting new projects for the coalition in the countries.
  4. Strengthening relations with the participating countries.
  5. Annually training at least 30 women in leadership.

Program Methodology and Stages:

The program will be implemented with the highest standards one could set for planning and implementing projects/programs quality-wise. It will have a team specialized in training and qualification, and will go through three stages:

  • Stage I: Selection.
  • Stage II: Training and Development.
  • Stage III: Evaluation and Feedback.

 Why Basma?

  1. It is a step in achieving the vision of the GWCQP.
  2. It discovers young women's capabilities and refines them with leadership skills and in-depth knowledge on Al-Quds, thus, making them capable of leading the work for Al-Quds and Palestine in their countries.
  3. It transforms the work for Al-Quds and Palestine into projects and work programs that serve the Palestinian cause.
  4. To achieve the highest levels of communication between young women from countries of the Islamic world and to enrich experiences and ideas.
  5. Because we aspire for every country in the world to have a distinctive mark in liberating Al-Quds and Palestine.
  6. Because we greatly believe in the role women play in change and influence.
  7. Because Al-Quds awaits us all.

Beneficiaries from the program:

Women's organizations and entities that work for Palestine and the Islamic Ummah; the coalition includes approximately 112 women's organizations that are working for Palestine, and are globally distributed among 32 countries. This includes many affiliates and volunteers working to serve the Palestinian cause.

Core Values ​​of the Program:

  • Comprehensive Quality: Focusing on quality in the plan, program, training, specialized trainers, and program supervisors.
  • Follow-up: focusing on overseeing projects and overcoming obstacles until the program is launched.
  • Continuity: Ensuring the program continues to periodically train and graduate new groups of young women leaders.
  • Specialization: Creating leaders who specialize in working for the Palestinian cause and establishing projects that serve it.

Entry Requirements:

  1. The participant(s) must be nominated by their organization/entity.
  2. They must be 23-37 years old.
  3. The participant must adopt a project or initiative to support Palestine in her country of residence.
  4. Each country must have at least two representatives.
  5. The participant must commit to attend all sessions of the program.
  6. Priority is given to those who meet the requirements and are the first to register.
  7. The same candidates must attend the entire program according to the agreed upon dates.
  8. The predominant language of the program will be Arabic. English translation will be available for those who need it.

Personality and Character traits:

  1. Capable of taking the initiative and responsibility.
  2. Self-confident and capable of giving speeches.
  3. Capable of building relationships and accepting diversity.
  4. Ambitious and willing to develop herself.
  5. Distinguished in her ethics and education.
  6. Disciplined, law-abiding, and committed to deadlines.
  7. Enthusiastic and passionate about working for Palestine.

    • Independent reading.
    • Open seminars and panel discussions.
    • Workshops.
    • Computer and IT courses.
    • Field visits.
