WGCQP Participates in the Mauritanian Reform Party’s Women's Conference

On Thursday, January 2, the Women’s Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine participated in the fifth ordinary conference of the Women for Reform organization. It was organized by the Mauritanian Reform Party, with attendees including a group of women leaders and public figures.

The opening session of the conference was marked by the participation of the delegation of the Coalition. Secretary-General Rabab Awad delivered a speech in which she stressed the importance of women's concerted efforts in support of the Ummah's causes, noting the pivotal role of Palestinian women in countering the occupation and strengthening the resilience of Palestinian society.

The session also featured poignant words from the sole survivor of her family, Dr. Shima Abu Shaaban, who shared her personal story as a vivid testimony to the suffering of the Palestinian people. The editor-in-chief, Ms. Samar Sabih, spoke of her experience in prison and the resilience of Palestinian women to daily challenges.

The audience commended the WGCQP’s active participation and its role in promoting international solidarity with the Palestinian cause and supporting Maqdisi and Palestinian women in various forums.

This participation is part of the WGCQP’s desire to strengthen cooperation with regional and international women's organizations and to highlight the suffering and steadfastness of Palestinian women in support of Al-Quds and Palestine.
