ر

As part of their visit to Mauritania, the delegation of the Women’s Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine held a series of administrative meetings with Women of Ribat. They met with trade unionists, women jurists and members of the Committee of Civil Labor Institutions.

During the meeting, the outcomes of last year's conference, Save Gaza, which was sponsored by Women of Ribat, were presented. The Coalition’s Secretary-General, Ms. Rabab Awad, commented on these outputs and commended the achievements, stressing the need for continued efforts to support Gaza and the Palestinian cause. The Secretary-General has also provided practical guidance for strengthening cooperation and achieving common objectives.

On her part, the Deputy Secretary-General, Asma Al-Ahmad, presented an intervention on the Coalition's projects, focusing on the Family Pledge as one of the pioneering projects the Coalition seeks to achieve in order to support families and strengthen their role in promoting the Palestinian cause.

In the second part of the meeting, the Coalition’s delegation met with the Scholars and Preachers Committee. They had an open debate on the most important issues and challenges, and answered the questions of preachers, which contributed to enhancing communication and exchange of experiences.

These meetings reflect the WGCQP’s desire to strengthen cooperation with women's and human rights institutions and affirm its commitment to support initiatives that serve the Ummah and its just causes.
