WGCQP Visits the Mauritanian Girls' Association

A delegation from the Women’s Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine visited the Mauritanian Girls' Association, a youth association concerned with raising awareness and educating young women and promoting their roles in society.

During the visit, the delegation met with the association’s leadership and members. The association presented its programs and activities aimed at empowering and supporting young women in the areas of education, social development and promoting awareness of national and international causes.

On her part, the Secretary-General of the WGCQP, Ms. Rabab Awad, stressed the important role played by youth associations in enhancing the awareness of the Palestinian cause in future generations and commended the efforts of the Girls' Association in empowering Mauritanian girls and promoting a culture of solidarity.

The visit also saw an exchange of ideas on strengthening cooperation between the two sides in terms of awareness and community support, particularly with regard to the Palestinian cause and the role of women and youth in supporting said cause.

This visit is part of a series of meetings done by the WGCQP with youth and women's institutions in Mauritania. The aim is to strengthen partnerships and joint action for the support of Al-Quds and Palestine.
