WGCQP meets with Students' Anti-Zionism Initiative in Mauritania
As part of their tour around Mauritania, the delegation of the Women's Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine met with students behind the “Students' Anti-Zionism Initiative” in one of the most prominent meetings, which brought together the leaders of the Coalition and Mauritanian university students.
The meeting included speeches from members of the delegation that inspired attendees and highlighted young people's roles in promoting just causes. Ms. Rabab Awad, Secretary-General of the WGCQP, addressed the role of youth and student movements in promoting awareness of the Palestinian cause and rejecting normalization of Israeli relations, stressing that young people represent the real force for change in the Islamic Ummah.
On her part, Ms. Samar Sabih, the liberated Palestinian prisoner, shared her story and difficult experience in Israeli prisons, stressing the importance of resilience and resistance to the occupation. Dr. Shaimaa Abu Shaaban, the mother of a martyred university student, presented a touching testimony about her experience as a mother who lost her son in the country, calling on university youths to be ambassadors to the Palestinian cause in different fields.
This meeting reflects the commitment of the Student Anti-Zoinist Initiative to support the Palestinian cause and highlights the depth of the interaction between Mauritanian youth and the cause. It also stresses the importance of the role of student movements in building a conscious and pro-Palestinian generation.
