WGCQP Participates in a Meeting at the Headquarters of the Mauritanian Party, Tawasul

On Friday, the delegation of the Women’s Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine visited the headquarters of the party, Tawasul, to meet with the party's President, Mr. Hamadi Ould Syed Al-Mukhtar. Party delegations from the Maghreb States, Algeria, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, The Gambia and Palestine also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, women's party experiences in these countries were reviewed, highlighting the role of women in the political landscape and party action, with a focus on their role in promoting democratic values and supporting national and international causes.

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Women's Coalition, Asma Al-Ahmad, made a statement on the Palestinian cause, focusing on the role of Palestinian women in the face of occupation and strengthening the resilience of Palestinian society. She also emphasized on the importance of international solidarity in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

They also commended the role of the WGCQP in supporting the Palestinian cause and promoting solidarity with Palestinian and Maqdisi women, while stressing the need to strengthen cooperation between Arab and African parties to support the Palestinian cause in international forums.

This meeting is an important step in promoting dialogue and cooperation between political parties and women's organizations in the region and to support just cause, particularly the cause of Palestine.
